Neelam is the mixed-media visual artist behind Art is a Verb. As a South Asian woman, child of immigrants, Alberta-born, current Montréal-er, her work explores the places and identities she’s lived, a focus on hearth and home, a constant reverence for nature and its cycles, and a commitment to a “feminine is not frail” message.
