Join Neelam, professional artist and calligrapher for a relaxing workshop where you’ll be introduced to the basics of brush pen modern calligraphy. Come with a friend, sip some tea, and get reacquainted with your creative side! Whether you’re a budding calligraphy enthusiast or simply looking for an arty outing with a loved one, this workshop is a perfect fit ✍🏽 

What your ticket includes: 

• Beginner Brush Pen Modern Calligraphy Supply Kit: includes supplies for the workshop that you get to take home with you afterwards! (small tip brush pen, pencil, worksheets)  
• Introduction to modern calligraphy 
• The basic strokes 
• How to form letters 
• How to connect letters into words

This training is reserved for people aged 18 and over. 

This workshop is non-refundable.

There are 3 stairs to enter the café.

About Neelam: 

Neelam is a professional visual artist, calligrapher, and graphic designer in Montréal. Originally from Edmonton, AB, Neelam moved to Montreal in pursuit of her artistic career. She is the artist behind her small south asian-owned business, Art is a Verb, which focuses on mixed-media art: Calligraphy, embroidery, watercolour, collage, painting, and drawing. Neelam adores calligraphy and wants to inspire others to learn more about this timeless and peaceful art form. 

Neelam will have her artworks in La Brume café for an exposition the months of May and June. Come join her vernissage, opening night, on Thursday, May 15th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
