Fern’s Flowers Garden + Art is a Verb are joining together to make the ultimate evening of cozy creativity through this collaboration of whimsical workshops! First, Fern will introduce you to her tranquil community garden where you will pick and arrange your own beautiful bouquets. Then, Neelam of Art is a Verb will take you through her relaxing workshop of Beginner Floral Embroidery. Join us for this ultra unique collaboration where by the end of the evening, you will take home your fresh bouquet, embroidery beginner supply kit and the floral you stitch, new skills, and a truly immersive creative experience.

Whether you’re a budding embroidery enthusiast or simply looking for a gorgeous creative outing with a loved one, this workshop collaboration is a perfect fit 💐🪡 

BOUQUET-MAKING + EMBROIDERY

Have you always been curious about the art of embroidery and interested in learning more? Are you a fellow lover of all things floral? Join Neelam (professional artist and embroiderer) and Fern (community garden lead of Fern’s Flowers Garden) for an unforgettable evening of flower picking + a Beginner Floral Embroidery Workshop in the middle of the gorgeous Fern’s Flowers Garden. You’ll pick and arrange your own bouquet, and then be introduced to the basics of modern embroidery. You’ll spend a tranquil evening stitching flowers amongst the flowers!

What your ticket includes: 

• Brief Garden tour
• 15 stem flower bouquet
• Vessel for your flowers
• Clippers to use
• Brief instruction on cutting flowers and bouquet-arrangement 
  
  
• Supplies you need to get started (embroidery hoop, needle, fabric, thread)
• Introduction to embroidery, the tools involved, and how to set up your hoop
• Instruction on types of stitches we will use
• Demonstration on how to stitch your flower
• Taking your finished embroidery project and bouquet home with you

*embroidery workshop will take place outside amongst the gardens if weather permits, if not, it will take place in the garden's gorgeous yurt

Tuesday, August 26th, 5pm - 9pm (1.5hrs for bouquet + 2.5hrs for sit down embroidery workshop)

💲 Cost: $95 per person

6-10 people per workshop  

This workshop is specifically for beginners. No prior knowledge or expertise is required 💛  

About Neelam: 

Neelam is a professional visual artist, embroiderer, and graphic designer. She is the artist behind her small south asian-owned business, Art is a Verb, which focuses on mixed-media art: Embroidery, dried flowers, calligraphy, watercolour, collage, painting, and drawing. Neelam adores embroidery and wants to inspire others to learn more about this timeless and tranquil art form.
